This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the office that holds the record.
Choose the Correct Elk Office
Elk County Prison is the main contact for a same-day question about county custody and facility logistics. The county Open Records Officer handles formal requests for an existing commitment, discharge, release, or booking record. The Sheriff's Office is a separate office and should not be treated as the prison operator. Use it for sheriff-maintained warrant or transport records.

Use the home page for the complete released-person search and county request steps. For current supervision, use Probation & Parole. A same-day window is addressed on Jail Releases: 24 Hours; Elk County publishes no verified live feed, so that page gives the official fallback chain. Court-record questions can be routed through the Elk County Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts, while public case searches begin at the Pennsylvania UJS case-information portal.
State and Notification Contacts
A sentenced state prisoner or current state parole case belongs with PA DOC rather than Elk County's county-only records. A county probation case belongs to the 59th Judicial District office. PA SAVIN is the notification route for custody events reported by participating county and state agencies.

Online searches and alerts use Pennsylvania's VINELink entry.
Use Projected Release for state minimum and maximum date rules, or VINELink Inmate Search for a custody-status check and alert registration. Federal sentenced custody uses the BOP locator. Immigration custody uses ICE ODLS. A federal pretrial person may be held for USMS at another actual facility, so BOP should not be used as a substitute without a federal sentence.
