Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Elk County Released Inmates does not store or log those search words on its own systems. The provider may collect and use the query under its privacy policy, which should be reviewed before submitting personal information.
If you send an email or another contact message, the message and reply address may be kept long enough to answer and manage the exchange. Contact messages are not shared outside the organization unless doing so is needed to provide the requested response, protect the service, or comply with a valid legal requirement.
Technical Data and Cookies
Basic technical details may be recorded when a browser loads a page. Those records help operate the site, measure use, and diagnose faults. They may include:
- the internet protocol address used for the request;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages visited and time spent on them;
- the referring page or site, when supplied; and
- the date and time of the request.
Cookies and similar storage may help measure how visitors move through the site or support advertising. A browser can reject or remove cookies. Blocking them may change how a search box, preference, analytics feature, or advertisement works.
How Data Supports the Site
Collected information is used to keep pages available, route a search request to the selected provider, understand which Elk County release topics are useful, detect and repair technical problems, prevent abuse, and display advertising that may reflect general interests. Information is not used to alter an Elk County Prison record, PA DOC result, court docket, or another government record. This site has no access to change those systems.

Personal information is not sold as a contact list. Limited information may reach:
- a search partner that must process the query entered in its tool;
- an analytics provider that measures visits and performance;
- an advertising network that serves or measures ads;
- a service provider needed to host, secure, or maintain the site; or
- law enforcement or another government body when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Each recipient receives only the information involved in its function to the extent reasonably possible. A government agency reached through an outbound link receives information according to its own form and policy.
Data Security Limits
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information under this site's control. No website, network, email system, or storage method is completely secure. Elk County Released Inmates cannot promise that a transmission will never be intercepted or that a connected system will never experience unauthorized access.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent personal information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and verification, a person may ask for a copy of personal data held by this site, request correction, ask for deletion, or object to certain processing. Browser controls can also restrict cookies, and advertising or analytics providers may offer their own preference tools. A request does not control a public record held by Elk County, PA DOC, a court, or another agency; those offices have separate correction and access processes.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised when site practices, service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated text takes effect when posted here with any stated effective date. Continued use after publication means the revised practices apply to later visits.
